Account Deletion Instructions

We understand that sometimes it's necessary to delete your account. When you do this, the following will be permanently deleted: your account and personal profile, viewing history and preferences, favorite movie lists, any active subscriptions, and all personal data. Note: Some information may be retained for legal purposes (such as transaction records for tax purposes).

We offer two simple methods to delete your account. Method 1 - Through the site: Sign in to your account, go to Account Settings, scroll down to "Account Management", click "Delete Account", read the information about what will be deleted, enter your password for confirmation, click "Permanently Delete Account". Method 2 - By email: If you cannot access your account or prefer to contact us directly, send an email to contact@mayahind.com with "Account Deletion Request" as the subject, include the email address associated with your account.

We understand you may change your mind. That's why we offer a 30-day grace period. After you delete your account, you have 30 days to restore it. After this period, the account and data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. To restore your account within the 30-day period, contact us at contact@mayahind.com with the subject "Account Restoration".

Before permanently deleting your account, consider these alternatives: Account deactivation - You can temporarily deactivate your account instead of deleting it permanently, allowing you to return anytime. Update privacy settings - Adjust your privacy preferences to limit data sharing without losing your account. Delete specific data - Remove specific information (such as viewing history) while keeping your account active.

If you signed up using a third-party service (Facebook, Google, Apple), you may also need to: revoke access to our app in the third-party account settings, contact the third-party service directly to manage your data with them, and review their privacy policies for information about data deletion.

Under data protection laws, you have: the right to deletion (completely delete your personal data), the right to access (know what information we have about you), the right to correction (correct inaccurate information), the right to objection (object to data processing), and data portability (receive data in a structured format). We aim to respond quickly to all requests: Deletion requests: 48 hours, Access requests: 30 days, Correction requests: 30 days, General questions: 24 hours. To ensure a quick response, include in your email: a clear subject, the email address associated with your account, details about your request.
